Inner Space Origin Story:
This is a selection of a greater body of work I call Inner Space. Through the visual metaphor, I explore the experience of trauma and healing, and the complicated journey into the depth of resilience.
I use drawing, painting, diorama, collage, sculpture, photography and also incorporate PTSD treatment methods in my process. These are all united by the visual themes of mythology, archetype and anatomy. The body becomes a storage site for these experiences and provides us with ongoing signals and invitations to heal, so anatomy is used in my work as a literal reference, but also as a metaphorical internal landscape.
