This series is inspired by the importance of play. If the frontal lobe goes offline from being triggered into a fight/flight/freeze response, it’s extremely difficult if not impossible for the brain to learn! This means play and humor are imperative to learning. Play induces feelings of safety and connection and therefore curiosity and learning can thrive. These pieces use playful, loose watercolor in rainbow tones to evoke childhood & inclusivity. They are then layered with vintage brain diagrams as a teaching tool for reference.
