Inner Ear

from $75.00

A reel posted by Daniel Maté got me thinking on the connection between hyper vigilance and musicality. A person’s ability to read non-verbal cues, pick up on subtle prosody and notice nuanced changes in patterned behavior out of a need to survive or maintain connection early in life and a unique talent or appreciation for music/musicality later in adulthood seem deeply connected. So I created a drawing of the inner ear Anatomy, with a watercolor overlay that shifts color subtly the way a prism might intake white light and process it into a rainbow of color. This reminds me of the function of the ear.
